OUR NEW WORLD!

Though DARK and NEW to Humanity, our  mother Gaia's induced COVID Conundrum is literally indicating our multiple HUMAN trespasses. 

As a 'high-in-the-celebral-head' species we have failed to participate in Nature's Natural Equilibrium! 

While Covid's effects on our continuing over-crowding numbers are slowing our 'progress' with reduction to our modern day travel methods by car and plane -  the airs are cleaner, and GAIA = in effect!

As an overly cerebral greedy species, not living within Mother-Nature's defined balanced eco-system, we keep ignoring the balanced equilibrium of our total system. And THIS will be our down-fall!

Dinosaurs existed for some 70 million years; 'HUMANITY' may prove to become a short lived entity!

Still! There are those who work from within, promoting the 'Perma Culture' movement;

setting out to focus on every individual challenging each to work from within their personal capacity to 

better fit in to the equilibrium of life!

KUDOS to their realizations! KUDOS to their awareness! 

Their efforts may save a reduced number of our species to live another day!

Essentially this continues to be about an elder's self-expression. 

This free BLOG - over the years - has allowed me, appreciatively, to express myself. If I was solely focused on determining numbers, I would clearly have gone elsewhere. 

Admittedly, I am self-indulging! And it does not seem to matter! Thank you Google for allowing this!

At 82 I am experiencing a quickly changing, human effecting world; our species is in crisis! 

Our Mother Nature GAIA is telling us - Our gig is UP!

She is forcing each of us to take a deep look from within! WHO are you? WHAT are you doing? Are you aware of your surroundings? Do you KNOW the effects you are having on it? Are you living within your means, or do you continue to take advantage of the seemingly plenty that is still allowed you? 

Guess what? The world of previously 'PLENTY' is shutting down. Like the Dark Ages, the present Covid plague is cutting us down - forcing us  to reconsider.  Our species is informed we are over-indulging!  

If you believe it to be the present reality, this then should take you to your innermost concerns by acknowledging the need for a 'Call From Within'! 

WHO am I - really! WHAT am I doing - really! HOW am I affecting my immediate reality world?

Am I merely a taker? Am I essentially solely concerned about my own and family well-being?  Do I in anyway care about the residue of garbage and residuals I leave behind as ultimate non recyclable garbage? 

Granted, none of us can be perfect! However! Active & Conscious awareness can create a noble step towards living within the stipulated nature's law to 'Live within the equilibrium of existence.!'

DARK CLOSETS!

STATS - irrelevant! [ Although this Blog's structure is a shadow of its former past (Google Blogs have decided not allowing it its proper constructive set up) I appreciate the free allowance of reaching out to my fellow humans....wherever they are? ] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Although as a former Theatre/ Film Director I would enjoy some enlightening exchanges, I resign myself to appreciating the few encouraging responses (clearly, not those deleted by Google Admin). Like writing a poem or daily diary, this blog expression is my public outlet. - Thank you mistress-master GOOGLE! Multiple years ago I was allowed to join a well-integrated community 'discussion' group! With weekly meets, over a number of years, they allowed each participant some 5 minute expression. Each was then dismissed with a kind of: 'Thanks, we get/ appreciate it! Next?' - Yet everytime I felt I was becoming more intrigued, wanting to hear more! Another newbe male decided to address me across the low-set coffee table: "Jan, you are loud and talk too much! It's all 'THEATRE' You are full of shit!" I responded: "I am sorry you feel that way, but it is who I am!" It took the same fellow to embrace me some ten years later, apologize, and state: "You are actually OK, and quite a nice guy!" Everytime we see each other now, we have meaningful chats! This takes me to one of the gals stating: "Jan, we all have our dark closets!" I challenged her with: "Please find one!" It didn't pan out, and has nothing to do with superiority. All is about who you are managing to be; first to yourself, then to others. If you have knowingly committed fallonies and endure them in your 'Dark Closets', someday there may be a cum-uppance of a kind you did not expect! And it will bare its consequences. I bowed out of the group after 3 sessions. DARK CLOSETS? We live within our body and mind! It is a hand-in-hand team! If not genetics that interfere with our existence, the 'Dark Closets' of guilt and regret from former ill-doings start braken us apart. Life hands us a baggage of tricks! Born with personality, over time you gradually adjust some, hopefully creating character.

WHAT KEEPS US GOING?

You wake up - hopefully from a deserved fully revitalized & vital sleep (too many of us are sleep deprived! > BAD SHIT!) But then, you got to be MOTIVATED to DO STUFF! Depending on your age-phase (like me @ 82: nobody NEEDS me!) .... But if you are a parent, or need to prepare to go to work, or have animals you need tending, you have clearly defined DUTIES to attend to. This makes your existence better defined, since Critters depend on you! However, when you are beyond those more meaningful life-demanding years, SOMETHING(s) need to keep you motivated! A hobby? ....Your plants?..... Some project requires your attention! If NOT, you wake up with a 'WHY am I bothering?' A day = a day = is a day mis-aday-aya-hyo ? (the song?) At this stage in our human development, we live WAY beyond our 'Natural' needs! No other animals come even close! Sure would be nice to receive some responses???? >!!!!

SWALLOW MAN?

Now you see it > THEN you Don't! HELLO ZERO FOLLOWERS! I continue indulging as my urges motivate - expressing my views - (questionably with no responses?). Being mostly a 'HANDS-ON' type, receiving NO responses suggests I am talking/expressing primarily to MY-self! This is NO FaceBook with all its daily updates of new pictures, or 'Like-Me'responses thereto. OR? Maybe, it IS a mere FB, only with lengthier diatribe? That said, to the point of writing this issue! As a young Theatre graduate from the 'ROYAL' Central School of Speech & Drama in London England, (I speak of the early sixties), settling in Toronto, I was hired to do a SUCRET commercial (a lozenge against a sore throat) Hired, based on my ability to 'control' my ADAM's APPLE movement > Can you believe it? >>> ====================================================================================== NOW! Some 55 years later, as a main 'BIRDER' > with several nesting boxes attached to my house, I have been hosting a family of Green-Violet Swallows for over 10 + years! It proved the parents were DEAD! Since this year, a set of its Off-Spring, a Female + a new Male (?) chose to nest in a secondary box, located some 2 feet away from the parental box. Well? As any NEW parent, "things' are not not smooth! The 'NORM' is: Female You lays a fertized egg, then another, to a potential 4 (with Swallows).... Then? MOM sits on eggs > STATS state 13-17 days? > THERE already is the potential problem! Some hatch before others, and as such, some fledge earlier thamn others! AND THERE.... lies the potential problem?..... Especially when UR a newly wed! i.e. Some fledlings will take the jump ..... days before another dare do the same! And THAT is what I am experiencing right now! I.e. at times, the parents will give up OVER N OUT FOR NOW!

I AM MAKING A GENERAL APOLGY! THOUGH APPRECIATING GOOGLE'S BLOG ALLOWANCES, GOOGLE'S 'MODERNIZATION' IS RENDERING POSTS WITHOUT ALLOWANCES FOR PARAGRAPH STRUCTURE (THOUGH THEY SHOW IN THE DRAFT FORM) RE: gocascadia.com - The Community Connector / Hello Hornby Community! / Life consists of many phases. After a life-time of kids, family, relocation and professional adaptation, at 80 now, I have been working on a website concept I feel can make a telling contribution. And, with our present global predicaments, I sense the timing is right to start making that difference. Although you may have seen the earlier version, its format structure was an administrative nightmare. So, arduously, I set out to have the site completely custom built and be acceptably user-friendly and responsive. Now, at long last, I feel sufficiently comfortable to invite you to check it out, and get on board to participate. So though I have settled on a wonderfully conscientious host (one immense achievement), I continue to struggle getting some interactive site basics to work. This has led me to enter the following in our community's monthly 'First Edition.' =================================================================================================== IN… OVER MY HEAD ? “Life is like a Box of Chocolates!” (Donald Trump!) - “No, Dad, it’s: “Forrest Gump!” … At 82, what’s the difference? Like the Idiot Savant, or is it ‘Idiot Advanced ?,’ all begins to sound the same! Over my stretch of existence, early childhood shaped my voyage and no doubt my personality. After four years of internment, to be allowed to express myself freely felt like a gift. And so I sojourned, taking advantage of opportunities with mostly ill-timed projects, to ultimately become a happily settled, failed entrepreneur here on our idyllic Hornby. To skip to the pertinent here-and-now, as a mostly hands-on active type, my very likely last — yet most challenging — endeavor is the creation of a both local e-commerce, yet community–oriented, socially interactive website. Rather than working and living from the outside in, the focus is on integration and self-sufficiency, by working from the inside out; the radius of reach - ‘as required.’ Successfully experienced giants like Bill Gates and Bill Gross each leave their online legacies: “Online, a little late is too late.” (Gates); ”Timing’ is some 43% of the total effort.” (Gross). However, qualified online responses have opinioned: ‘Looks’ have never held a site from popularity (Craigslist, Facebook?). Rather: How easily and well does it function? - Is there room for un-interrupted personal expression? - Is there guaranteed privacy, security and safety? As an elder, exposed to the present ‘moderne’ of faint text and small fonts, I definitely seek visual clarity and non-challenging font size. Additionally, with our present covidnundrum, elders are challenged, and looking to find a manageable platform to join in and participate in their twilight existences. As such I am launching: eldersunite.com. This then brings me to this, my community-oriented epistle. I am requesting your subjective inputs.
